Ride Details
Beginning in the heart of the Red River Valley of the North, riders will cycle past rich grain fields and enjoy the vast beauty of plains that seem to go on forever. As the route angles northward, the flatlands are punctuated by the rolling beaches of glacial Lake Agassiz. The tour continues into the Northeast Minnesota to beautiful Lake of the Woods. If you like a challege, however, don't worry. The wind will probably accommodate you. A century ride option will be available on Wednesday for adventurous riders seeking extra miles as well. For those who choose to cycle into Canada, the international flavor of the area will subtly contrast with the similarities on the United States side of the border. The route moves southward along the eastern side of the Red River Valley in North Dakota, giving riders yet another view of the idyllic countryside with its rolling terrain. Overnights on the tour will be spent in welcoming host communties throughout the area, providing riders with opportunties for food and fun, along with a peaceful rest at the end of each day.
